Come enjoy a private cow experience at Radical Roots Farm. Our Meet the Cows session is a 30-minute private farm visit designed for guests who want an up-close, memorable experience with our cattle in a calm, guided setting. During your visit, you’ll have the chance to learn about the animals, brush them, offer approved treats, and take photos while enjoying time on the farm. This experience is perfect for families, couples, small groups, and animal lovers looking for something unique and peaceful. Your session includes: Private 30-minute visit Hands-on interaction with the cows Brushing and feeding opportunity Time for photos Guided education about the animals and farm All brushes and approved treats are included. Group size: Up to 6 guests included Location: Radical Roots Farm, Sterling, Connecticut Booking: Advance reservation required Availability: By appointment only Booking Policy Closed-toe shoes are required for all guests. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire session. All participants must complete a liability waiver before the session begins. For the safety of our animals and guests: No pets allowed No alcohol allowed Please arrive on time Farm staff may modify animal interaction if needed for safety or animal comfort Weather Policy Sessions are held rain or shine whenever possible. Please dress for the weather and farm conditions. If severe weather creates an unsafe condition, we will contact you to reschedule. Cancellation Policy Reservations may be canceled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the appointment. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the session are nonrefundable. Guests may reschedule up to 2 times before the booking may be canceled. FAQ How many people are included? Each booking includes up to 6 guests. Is this a private session? Yes. Your group will have a private scheduled visit. Can children attend? Yes, but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. What should we wear? Closed-toe shoes are required. Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather and farm environment. Can we take pictures? Yes. Photos are encouraged during your session. What happens if it rains? We run in most weather conditions, but severe weather may require rescheduling. Can I bring more than 6 people? Please contact us for large group visits, birthday parties, school groups, or special events.
